The greenhouse is 6ft tall, also do you think my root rot/cold problems would be solved if I had some light bulbs heating the pots so they don't get their feet wet?

No, most of the varieties you find are self pollinating because they are largely favored regardless of color.

White types- nasty/tasteless

Red types- sweet small

Purple types- sweet

Yellow thorned types- sweetest
