I found an odd little tree, actually a set of about four that were planted by landscapers in a little strip mall area. It is an interesting plant and put out seed in the form of very small pink berries. I wanted to see if this little tree would make a good bonsai but I am not sure if this tree is poisonous. The leaves are pinnately compound. This leads me to believe it is some kind of ornamental olive tree. I have attached some pictures of the berries and leaf samples:

I think I have identified this correctly as a Pistacia mexicana or "Texas pistache".

I think you got it identified. I did notice on the web that the berries are not edible for people, although animals like them. Looks like a great xeriscape tree. I couldn't find any bonsai references for it though.
