Hi just wanted to post a pic of a bacon avocado the wify got me. Dont know how it would handle the heat. But from my past experience from a mexicola, i plan on leaving it on the pot untill it starts growing bark. Ofcourse i would be repotting as it gets bigger. Has any had succes with the jim bacon?

God.....WHY can't I get my 6 year old Avocado to bloom?!?!!?!?

Is your tree grafted? Show us im sure there are lots of people here like phoenixtropicals that could help you out. Although im not sure if mu tree it would hold any ftuit

yes, I believe it's some dwarf Mexican variety, but can't find the tag.....healthy as hell, but NO FLOWERS.....here it is:

U lucky dog,lol thats a nice looking tree. Im not sure what to tell you as why its not flowering. I love your backyard man. Looks very tropical. I also love the tiki in the background. I can already imagine you in a jot day drinking some pinas coladas with some fresh guacamole. Lol nice tree

Thanks, mariolo - it's actually a large TIKI or Gazebo (which is what we call it) about 18-20 feet in diameter. As you guessed it, it is a place to kick back in.....

I've had to tuck in my tropical trees (mangoes, avacado, papaya, etc.) into various spots about the yard, so yes, I guess it does have a tropical feel....

Now if that avocado would only allow me to MAKE guacamole......

Well will figure out the problem here hopefully. I also wanted to ask what u fertilize your mango trees with? I hear a foliar spray its best? What would u recomened? Could u tell me name and where to get? Its because i have a manila that is looking yellowish on the new growth. And basicly i want to help it grow nice and healthy

Well I don't use foliar sprays though I hear great things about them! I'm more of an old-fashioned watering can fertilizer guy......I don't know maybe some day I'll try them....I've got the sprayer sitting here doing nothing.......

Mangoes always seem to get a bit yellow in the winter. It will green up when it gets warmer.
