Nice crops of both this year. I am eating the lychees now. I think the mangoes won't be ripe until the end of summer.

For example, you copy the photo but under it you put a hyperlink to where you originally got the photo from so that the user can navigate to that website. It's like the web version of a footnote. You can copy the links to this forum by just pasting them from the address bar up top. For example, this post is
http://phoenixtropicals.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=787
You can get this url by navigating to this post and then copying the url up top. The one here in this post is actually the one you would need for reference.

The mango in the foreground is a seedling of unknown origin given to me by a friend named Richard Gross. He said he found the seed in a garbage can, ha ha. Since its a seedling I have named it a Keller, after my own last name. Calling it a Gross mango just didn't seem right. I'm guessing it is of Indian Mango parentage similar to a Keitt, but its a little different. I have a little Keitt graft tree for comparison. On the little Keitt, the new leaf growth alternates and is green while on the Keller the new leaves grow in symmetrical flushes and are red and later change to green. Also, the Keitt has pale yellow flesh while the Keller is bright orange.
Keitt mango can be seen here

The Keller has been in the ground since 2002, so its been 13 years. It's been frozen back about 4 times maybe so it has a very stout trunk but is just 8 feet tall.
The fruiting mango in the back is a Manila, of Home Depot/La Verne nursery origin. Seems like maybe I have 10 mangoes on the way on that one too. That thing is really growing like crazy lately. If we have another mild winter I'm hoping for a bumper crop next year. It's probably been in the ground about 7 years I think. It's first fruit was after only about 3 years. Really quick for a seedling. Whereas, I think the Keller took about 8 years to produce the first time. The Manila seems to have the nice ability to hold a lot of mangoes on a single branch, unlike the Keller which likes to thin to one per branch usually. I think that is a normal difference between the Indian and the SE Asian mangoes.
I got about 10 lychees this year. They tasted great but I'd rather have like a 100 of them. That tree has really taken off since I started mulching it, not compost but mulch, and really seems to love green grass clippings. I don't lay them down too thick because I don't want the decomposition to get too hot. I guess I put down about an inch of clippings at a time. It is a Brewster by the way, which I ordered from Florida. It is probably an air layer.
Thanks for the complements.

That's amazing! 10-10-10 Am I right? I think eating 10 lychee is the same as growing many as long as you treasure them.

PT - nice job and great looking fruit! I've had a crappy year for fruits on my trees. Got about 10 Glenns that I've already eaten (just OK tasting), one Rosigold, one huge Edward, and now 4 Kents and 8-10 Keitts await ripening...
Do you think when frost hits in January it affects the flowering the end of February/Early March? Over half my trees never even flowered this year(that all flowered the last couple of years).....
I'm bummed!
