Here are some pics of some of the Guava's I picked from one of my tree's recently.

The heat did cause them to ripen too fast, so alot of them were not very good, but some were very good. I have two different kind of guava tree's planted about 10' apart from each other, they are each around 8' tall.

Great looking guavas. I concur, that when the temps are like 110 the guavas get very strong flavored and lose their sweetness. It seems like some varieties do better than others in that respect though. What varieties do you have?

Well, I got both tree's from Doug Jones. One he call's fragrant, because it's the strongest smelling guava he's ever smelled. The other I don't know? One has round fruit (the ones in the pics), the other has tear drop shaped fruit.

I also have 3-4 other guava's in pots, I should find someplace to plant them in the front or back yard..
