I harvested a really big mango off of my seedling tree the other day and it tasted very very good. I have included some pictures below. Interestingly, the greenest part of the mango, near the stem was still very firm but tasted good, while the rest of the fruit was soft. It is completely fiberless and has a relatively small seed. The seed was actually sprouting inside the husk so I put it in a pot. I wonder what the parent of this thing was. Does anyone out there have any guesses? I'm thinking I will name this variety Keller.

Incredible looking mango! How many years did you wait to get fruit on this tree? Does the tree get full sun? Congratulations!

8 years, and it froze almost all the way the ground in 2007. I'm looking forward to a time when I have so many fruit that I can bring a bushel of them into one of our meetings. Yes, more or less full sun.
