So I currently have about six different hibiscus plants in my back yard. Overall, they grow very well, but while they grow like crazy, they don't flower all that much and when they DO flower, some of the buds look... iffy.

So today, I happened to be looking at one of my plants that has never bloomed the entire time it's been in the ground (though it IS growing like crazy), and I happened to notice these here.. I dunno. Things (forgive the camera phone pics):

I also happened to notice this on another plant:

Is there anything I should be doing about these things living on my plants?

Nice photos. Its making my itchy just looking at those things. Those white ones are mealy bugs. You might want to spray them with an insecticide, but only if they get bad. If you just have a few I wouldn't worry about them. Some predator will probably come along and eat them.

The other one is an assasin bug. That is a predator and therefore a good insect. It actually looks like you caught it eating something.
