So I decided to be stubborn and leave my plumeria in the ground instead of diging it up to overwinter inside.. this morning ive noticed the leaves wilted.

so they will probably fall off, what are the chances the entire plant would die though? Im hoping the leaves would just fall off, and regrow back in the spring

No problem. The leaves are due to drop this time of year anyways. As long as the stems aren't damaged you are good.
