Just picked up a couple bottles of the 5-1-1 and noticed the label has changed.. it says " Organic based fish fertilizer * " with that astrix
on the back it says not intended for use in organic vegetable gardening.
doing a google search someone mentioned that OMRI pulled their organic cert after a recent inspection of their facility, but I couldnt find any official results.
hmmmmm, i cant imagine a product made from boiling of fish could be anything but organic.. unless its the levels of metal contained in the fish? maybe they use farm raised fish that have increased levels of mercury?
I found another brand called Neptunes Harvest, which is made by letting the fish sit at room temp as they are digested by an enzyme, as opposed to alaska's being boiled and killing off some beneficial nutrients |

Maybe its the phosphoric acid they add. Anyways, the stuff works so well here I'll keep on using it. Here is an article with lots of nice details in it.
