PT, that sounds like way too much watering. I water every 10 days in the spring and every 5 in the summer, but I'm using basin irrigation.

I only had about 250, maybe 300 hours last winter and my Fuji still fruited pretty well. It did take my tree about four years to start producing, so be warned.

If that tree was left unprotected during all four cold nights, then your tree is toast if it was a grafted tree.
