One of my Surinam Cherry bushes is blooming for the first time. The bush was planted not quite a year ago. Is there any chance that I'll get fruit? |

You might get some fruit. The only time I've tasted Surinam Cherry (it was even grown here) it tasted like turpentine smells, which is as you might guess horrible. However, I have been told they can be delicious but it is important to get a grafted variety rather than a seedling for this reason. |

I have heard that they can be horrible if you get the wrong type. I have two, one that I got from the ARFG sale and I have no idea what type it is. The one that's blooming is a Lolita which is supposed to be the ones that are the best. The fruits are almost black and sweet, supposedly. |
