One of my Surinam Cherry bushes is blooming for the first time. The bush was planted not quite a year ago. Is there any chance that I'll get fruit?

You might get some fruit. The only time I've tasted Surinam Cherry (it was even grown here) it tasted like turpentine smells, which is as you might guess horrible. However, I have been told they can be delicious but it is important to get a grafted variety rather than a seedling for this reason.

I have heard that they can be horrible if you get the wrong type. I have two, one that I got from the ARFG sale and I have no idea what type it is. The one that's blooming is a Lolita which is supposed to be the ones that are the best. The fruits are almost black and sweet, supposedly.
