Last fall I worked all my rotten and unpicked tomatoes in to the soil as a kind of mulch. Well it crossed my mind, but I was still surprised early this spring after all the rain that I was up to my eyes in new baby tomato plants.

I've always planted small tomato plants in the beginning of the season, but the seed seemed to be doing better and I saved about 30 bucks.
