My Cherry Of The Rio Grande is flowering. Seems to be more healthy since I switched it from a grass watering schedule to a less frequent citrus watering schedule. I am also giving it occasional feedings with fish emulsion 5-1-1. That would be great if I actually got some fruit this year.

I have 2 of these that I got last Spring and Fall. The one that I got first was planted in full sun but had shade cloth on the west side of it. The leaves seemed to do ok but the bark had gotten sunburned. This Summer, I'll add some more shade to see how it does. I am wondering how it will do when it gets filled out enough to protect it's branches and trunk.
I saw what you had written about your experience after I planted the first one and so, I planted the other one in a more hospitable place.

Keep us updated if you get some fruit.
