I purchased mine in January many years ago from Harper's. Generally, peach trees are available in the middle of winter as bareroot trees. This is the best time to plant them because they are fully dormant. You might want to give your local nursery a call and see if they plan on having peach trees available this winter and what type they have ordered. They often will know by this time of the year.
If you want to know the specific place where I got mine, it was the Harper's nursery on Mckellips in Mesa, just west of Gilbert Road. I think I paid $15 for it. It just looked like a stick with a roots, no pot or anything. They were unloading them from a truck the trees where shipped in. It was semi with a 1 foot layer of dirt that the trees where loosely stuck into. I had talked to the nursery people a couple of months ahead of time to find out when they were coming in. They were in the process of potting those trees up. Early grandes usually come from Texas.
