We saw a light freeze last night. Was 31 at 6 am. Luckily I saw it coming and quickly got all the frost shelters set back up last night.

Curious to hear if anyone else saw near freezing temperatures too?

Not even close to freezing here. Are you sure you want to try to grow mango trees there? Seems like without a 15 foot green house it will be really frustrating. Even when they become big trees temps. under 29°F really hammer them, and I don't think surrounding foliage will do much to help. I've live in this house since 2000 and I have only had two winters that damaged my mangoes, 2007 and last winter.

Just food for thought. On the other hand you can probably grow all kinds of apples and stone fruit that the rest of us only dream of.

Very Happy

Aww it ain't so bad. Yes its a little work but no big deal. And yes our stone fruit does awesome. There may come a day that I get tired of protecting my tropicals, but its not yet. I have some ideas for when they get larger.
