My grumichama in the ground has new growth on it now, but at no time was the growth ever red. It was always green. Hmmmmm....

Seems to be doing better than my (now dead) Cherry of the Rio Grande did. Since its actually growing.. ha ha. I'm mulching it fairly heavily and haven't given it any fertilizer yet. It survived the summer last year in the ground in a very shady spot but grew very little. I transplanted it in January to this location were its a little more sunny. Its still in lots of afternoon shade though, just more morning sun. The sun seems to have encouraged more growth but we'll see how it takes the heat having more sun exposure.
