I just harvested my first Keitt mango from my garden and it tasted great. It looks like the middle of August is harvest time for both Keitt and Manila mangoes in the Phoenix area. Still two more Keitt mangoes remaining. I can't wait until these trees get larger and I have a 100 of these things. Of course, who can eat that many. I'll have to open a stand on McKellips. I knew this one was ripe because it was on the ground when I went out in the morning. Keitts are hard to judge because they still look green even when ripe. I did notice yesterday though, that the fruit lost its bluish tinge and became more of a pure green.
