Two of my loquat trees have fruit ripening on them. The Champagne was delicious it tasted sweet with just a hint of tartness in the background to round out the sweetness with a flavor mix of pear, apricot and orange. On the other hand the Gold Nugget was just pure sugar with the flavor mix of pear, apricot and orange. Three out of four like the Champagne the best during the taste test. These are great they give the mighty home grow mango a run for the money but the mango still wins out!

The way they ripen was way cool they turn color but are still bitter and the birds pecked on three of them a month ago and never checked again. I hope they don’t figure out how good a ripe one is Very Happy

Seems like a good year for loquats. My Big Jim's are just about to ripen and no bird damage yet.

Here is my loquat tree with a bunch of fruit. I wouldn't call it "loaded" but its a decent amount. They taste good.
