Thank you. We went to the Agritopia gardens and there was Chard and Artichokes all over the place. I have never eaten it but will give it a try. It looks like you can start planting it in September. |

Didn't know about Agritopia gardens to bad it's almost an hour drive from my place.
I never ate Chard, Kale, or Collards but I started growing them this year and they are still going strong. From 3 of each plants it has feed four of us once a week. I had some leftover plants that were put into pots in February and moved them to the garden when the broccoli gave out last month and they are growing great. It will be interesting how long they last. I'm armed with the thought that if it grows here I'm going to learn to eat it if possible. So far the Chard is very easy to eat and Kale is second the Collards are a little to bitter but I'm still eating them. What works really well is putting them into homemade soups then it's a not issue. |
