Hi! I bought a house about a year ago. The house is new and the back yard is a blank slate. We're taking our time in planning our landscaping, but we do want to put in about 500 sqft of grass for our kid to act a fool on (he's one year old now).
I had a question concerning watering grass. All of the literature and sites I've seen online talk about using sprinklers as if they're the only option. I know that subsurface drip products exist, but I've heard barely a whisper about anyone actually using subsurface drip for turf irrigation. Is there any reason it's not more popular? Aside from the greater expense, I would think it would be ideal for the Phoenix area since it uses much less water. |

Interesting idea. I wonder if the grass would lift it up though, and then you would end up shredding the lines with your lawn mower. |
