The local nurseries charge you and arm and a leg for frost cloth, and also its nice to have larger pieces than what they provide.
Below is a link for what appears to be a good source on the internet. 10 ft. wide and only a dollar per. ft. Ideally, I'd like a little bit wider, like 15ft. I bought a roll like this years ago, and cut it into pieces and it has worked out very well for me.

Thanks, 'tis the season, isn't it? I've covered twice so far, but it hasn't been freezing yet. I was expecting 20's last night, but I woke up to 36° on my thermometer and an ice-free bird bath. I was surprised. Away from the urban sprawl and about 500' above it, I would have expected worse.
I have four plants to fret over, two are Euphorbias that reportedly drop dead at first frost. One is potted, so I bring it in, the other I covered last night and tossed a xmas tree light roll under the cloth. So far, so good. Viva La Niña! |
