Can Surinam cherry take full sun?

Anyone know?

Or would a raja puri banana take the full sun better? I have a spot in my yard that needs something edible planted in its place (planning on pulling a valentine emu that's there already)

I have a Lolita Surinam Cherry and 3 various banana plants all in full sun. However, I don't know yet as to how practical it is. Mine were planted about a year ago. They made it through the summer ok but I had them shaded on the west side and will do so again this year. As soon as they get bigger, I'll try it without.

Bananas will take full sun but do better with afternoon shade. Rajapuri is a great variety. Mine flowers every May, even after being hammered back by the freeze this year. For full sun I recommend peach, plum, citrus, guava, mango, and white sapote.

Hey MULLS - Mangodog here (actually registered as myamberdog on this site) My friend's Surinam Cherry just grows very slowly and has never fruited - it's probably around 3 years old...don't know what the problem is, but I wish you luck!
