I had a fairly good crop of longans this year. Longans are generally easier to grow here than their relative, the lychee. I took this photo at the end of August.

Do you have to frost protect them in the winter? I've heard conflicting stories regarding their frost tolerance.

Logan's and Lychees are tougher than mangoes and guavas, but still need protection if it gets really nasty. They start taking damage at about 28 F.
