Its growing new leaves but I noticed that half of the leaves have brown on them,any advice is greatly appreciate it

That's salt burn. It's impossible to have absolutely no salt burn on avocados here, but there are things you can do to minimize it. See the avocado page on the web site for more details.

Thank you,also I'm a bit lost. Ive been watering it about every other day,its that ok? I thought that because of the weather getting hot and that,recently with this past few days I haven't watered it,my question is,how often do I water it in this crazy weather? Thanks for the response

I'm watering once a week right now. Make sure you soak it real good when you water because it will help wash away the salts.
