Saw this Capulin Cherry at HD in January and planted it. So far its doing great and is even flowering. I know that it will make it through the summer because I have another Capulin out front that has been in the ground for 4 years, although that one is very small and has not gotten big enough to produce yet.

I just bought one of these at Lowes today. I didn't really know that much about them but it only cost $22 for a 5 feet tall tree so I took a chance. Now I just have to figure out how to grow it. It was nice to see that someone has had luck growing them here.

BTW. The spots I have mine in are fairly shady and protected from afternoon sun.

Do you think that the east side of my house would work? Then too, I could use shade cloth during the first couple of summers in addition to the east side location.
