my jabo has leaf tip burn on every leaf... i wonder if its too much sun?

or not enough water?

i always flood the pot to the brim when i water so it cant be fert burn

EDIT: now that i think of it... i did use miracle grow perlite in my potting mix.. and MG products contain ferts.. even their perlite!

hmmm... youd think it would rinse away after awhile

Yes, I think so, just keep watering. I have heard jaboticabas like lots and lots of water, so over watering them is not much of a concern I think. They are slow growers so stay away from fertilizers. However, in a pot you will need some kind of fertilizer eventually but just go for something really mild, like extra diluted fish emulsion. If the potting soil already has some fertilizer in it then you won't need to fertilize for a long time.

Sounds like salt burn, common in potted plants. To test, just wet your soil and touch it with your finger and taste. If it taste salty, flush the soil with a large amount of clean water. Washing the salt out of the system.
