maybe I am being more observant as this is my second year of growing but we seem to have white fly on the cucumbers and squash already. will this be short lived only lasting until it gets really hot or is this a season long problem. Last year I noticed them for the first time at the end of the summer.
I sprayed the hose all over the plants this morning.

They are the worst in July, so it's just started. Hose them every day is about the best you can do. Pesticides just seem to make them angry.... meaning they recover very quickly from being poisoned so don't bother. Also, by not poisoning you give predator insects a chance to eat them.
