Every couple of days I seem to catch a bird a in my peach tree net. No fatalities or injuries yet fortunately. I do get the opportunity to get know the local birds better before releasing them as you can see. The one with the red head is a house finch, and the other is a curved bill thrasher.

I wish birds were my only problem. I have a peach tree that has rabbit guard around the trunk, a pvc cage with bird netting on it and I still have something getting my peaches. Not only are they eating the peaches but they are ripping off the branches.
One of the possibilities is squirrels. We put our squirrel trap in with the enclosure and even though it has a peach and chicken scratch as bait, they ignore it.

We may have to build metal and wire enclosures around the trees at some point.

In the meantime, if anyone has any ideas, I'd appreciate it.
