Is anyone successfully growing Lucuma, Pacay, Sapodilla or Wampee in the Phoenix area?
If so, how hard are they to grow here?
Where can you get the plants?

If you look on the information pages of the site, there are articles for lucuma and pacay.

I read the articles every word. It's been some years since they were written. Maybe the author, phoenixtropicals, can be kind enough to give us an update on his trees.
Anyone else tried these tropical fruits trees in the desert? How did they do?

I have sapodilla, they do fine here. Nice big tree down at the extension office. Slow growing, like a little afternoon shade the first summer or 2.

I haven't tried lucuma again since the one in that article died. My pacay is continuing to get bigger and is healthy and currently flowering. I haven't had any fruit on it yet though. I'm not sure if it needs cross pollination or if it just needs to get older. I do have another smaller pacay planted with it, in the same hole, and that one is still getting bigger, but it hasn't flowered yet.

All the information in the pacay article is still accurate. I update the articles to correct them or add new information when needed.
