Welcome!
Best place to find rarer palms is the HD on Val Vista & Broadway, pacific Palms, and treeland.
Sounds like you have a great collection. |

New to the palm scene, just started this past summer and I already have a huge monkey on my back. I'm throwing caution to the wind and planting what I like within reason. Currently growing allagoptera arenaria, arenga engleri, beccarioP. alfredii, brahea decumbens, c. radicalis, livistona decora, p. reclinata / rupicola /sylvestris, mules, butia capitata, silver blue and bonetti, Bismarckia nobilis and Rhopalostylis sapida. With the exception of the arenga engleri & R. Sapida all get full afternoon sun, I have a southern exposure backyard.
Is anyone in the Phx area growing Kentopsis Oliviformis? If so wondering if they handle our afternoon sun?

Glad to have another palm lover here! So far this winter has been gentle on our palms. All your choices above look great! I'm amazed you have the C Radicalis in sun, I thought they wanted shade. My A Engleri gets a lot of sun and has been fine with it. I tried a Rhopalostylis in March and it quickly died over the summer. Glad to hear your having luck with it. I have 2 K.O. and both are in moring sun only. They have been pretty slow but this is common for this plam at a young age. |

My biggest fear was someone would ask for pics. Confession, my original post was the first time I ever posted to any forum. It took all my technical expertise. I don’t have a camera nor the knowledge to post pics. However my brother does and he will be here end of Feb. to help plant the rest of the palms. Bear with me and I’ll have pics posted then.
Do not know if this is appropriate, but I have the following palms available for trade: 2-1G Mules-each with 6 Strap leaves, 2-2.5G(?) C. Radicalis trunking, 2-5G P. Reclinata, 1-5G BeccarioPhoenix Alfredii with 12 Strap leaves and 1-1G Rhopalostylis sapida. Contact me via PM if interested in trades |
