You could try Pithecellobium Dulce, Guamuchil, Manilla Tamarind. Find it at Lowes or HD when the shipment comes. It is said to have a texture of chewy cotton candy with light coconut notes. Like inga, it's less of a juicy fruit, but more of a snack. |

anyone use humic acids as a soil drench or foliar spray here before?
any noticeable difference?
I've been reading up on this stuff and at first I'm a bit skeptical about it since there's so many products out there that claims to benefit plants in so many ways that it seems too good to be true. Just read the page below and the final paragraph really caught my attention.
http://drearth.net/learning-center/the-technology/humic-acid/
Quote: | It will also help to lower the pH of the soil to a more neutral level and will flush high levels of salts out of the root zone, all of which will help to promote better plant health and growth. |
If the above is true, then this stuff will greatly help our plants/trees here in AZ since we have high PH/high salt soil and water. |

I have guamuchile. It is easy to grow and has already produced some fruit. It is frost sensitive however. |

Shamus also sells a nice foliar feed mix in individually packaged bottles. If you have the time, then please watch this ongoing series of videos. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zoQPYsv9I9Y
I personally think growing inga or guamuchile isn't really worth it. For me, who is already limited for space before anything big has happened, the output doesn't outweigh the input of space and cold protection that you could give something else. Maybe it's just me. |
