I planted my Ackee outside over the holidays and it survived the winter without incident. It is growing well and its next test is the full summer heat. But, this looks like it may be a good one for this climate.

NOTE: If anyone does decide to experiment with this tree, keep in mind that the fruit is highly toxic except under very specific circumstances.

That's really cool. It's nice to know that you have an ackee tree in your house. Ackee tree can bear fruits and ackee fruit has incredible nutrients that helps for digestion, strengthen bones and many other factors that our body can benefits.

That is great. I like how glossy it looks. Our last two winters have been pretty mild though, so you might want to have some covering ready if we get a real cold snap over the winter. Being in your courtyard also helps a lot of course.
