|
|
Late August / Early September is one of the best fruit months (IMO) because my all-time favorite avocados are ripe: Reed! I just picked up a half-dozen at Whole Foods on Ray at 101.
Also, they have tons of other great produce right now: Organic Raspberries 2 for $4 (16 oz each). Nice!, also Keitt Mangos for those of you not growing them yourselves, as well as some really nice looking peaches, etc.
My figs are done, my pomegranates are not ripe yet, and my plums were a bust this year so this was the perfect time for me to stock up on some fruit |

Not yet I would sure like for things to start cooling down.
But man I am sure loving these avocados. The only thing they need is a little grey salt and a spoon |

We were just in the San Diego area a week ago and picked up some Reeds at a fruit stand. They were huge and really nice. |

Yeah, these suckers are the size of softballs and high quality. The flavor + the texture all the way through (especially considering its size) makes these amazing. Absolutely creamy and perfect. |
