I can't imagine that this question hasn't been asked many times previously on this forum but - what is going on with the disparity between forecasted lows in Scottsdale and the actual low? I can't find a reporting station anywhere that comes close to the lows we experience in our garden. 7 - 10 degrees F lower than the forecast. The ice on my windshield and frozen water in my bucket seem to confirm the information received from my remote temperature sensor. Our location is roughly 64th St. and Greenway in the Kierland area.

We put up frost cloth tents and still the tops of tomato plants got burned. Here's a picture of our set-up:

You must be in a low spot. Cold air gathers in low areas and it can easily be 15 degrees colder than the surrounding areas. Try growing plants that need more chill where you live. You will have the best peaches in the neighborhood.
