I just picked up a Capulin Cherry at the Home Depot near Dobson and the 202 in Mesa, Bass Pro Shopping area. Those things are usually nearly impossible to find, even by mail order. There were 3 left I think. They also had Mexicola Avocados there which seem like a good variety to try here, so I picked up one of those too. Mexicolas are a type A avocado, which should be a good cross pollinator with my Winter Mexican which is type B. |

Yes, I ate it straight off the tree at Quail Botanical Gardens, near San Diego, and they were really good. I hear the flavor can very substantially from tree to tree though. Hot weather usually makes fruit sweeter so maybe in AZ they will be extra good. Maybe.... |
