It was a nice mild winter and my Keller Mango is doing very good. I'm hoping for a nice big crop this year. It's just starting to push out new flower stalks.

It's a seedling I grew so I gave it my last name. I don't know the parentage because a friend, Richard Gross, gave me the seedling. He said he found the seed in the trash. I'm still not sure if he was pulling my leg or not.

I have posted photos of the fruit in the forum the summer before last. Below is a link to it. I didn't have any fruit last summer because of the harsh winter. The fruit is fiberless and super sweet. I tried to grow some seeds from it but they didn't germinate. I'll try again in the future.

If the seed is polyembryonic then it might be a clone of a known variety. If its not then it is most likely an Indian Mango and unique. New leaves emerge "umbrella" style in rosettes, not alternating.

what an incredibly unique looking fruit! It's not round, not kidney or oblong - almost looks like a tomato shape....very very different....yeah a keeper for sure not matter what it is....

thanks for posting......M.A.D.
