I am not very familiar with the Tipu tree. Do you have experience with this tree? Is it hardy for our Phoenix soil/climate? A client is considering for near the pool, but from what I have read it's leaf and fruit droppings may suggest this is not an ideal tree choice-thoughts? |

I don't have any personal experience with it. I searched around in the internet and books and found that it is being grown successfully here in the Phoenix area. It is not a xeriscape tree, because it needs a fair amount of water. Sources say that it does drop beans and flowers and looses leaves during the winter so I wouldn't plant it right next to a pool. |

Tipu trees can do very well here. I wouldn't suggest planting it or any medium to large tree too close to a pool. _________________ Owner/Operator Agave Tree and Landscape |
